Before heading out to England where External Affairs Minister SM Krishna was to meet his Australian counterpart Stephen Smith to discuss the continuing racist attacks on Indian students in Australia, Krishna was reportedly busy finding out the view from his hotel suite instead of preparing points to discuss with Smith. Krishna who stayed at the Dorchester hotel in London while attending the Afghanistan conference seemed more pre-occupied with having a room with a view when he checked into the hotel. With ministers who’ve got more to chew on apart from the immediate responsibilities at hand, it doesn’t seem quite easy to find solutions. No wonder Indian students continue to suffer and live in fear, while back the home minister saab makes it a point to keep the window dressing perfect.
