The first day of the winter session of Parliament coincided with Indira Gandhi’s birthday. The entire Gandhi clan arrived in Parliament after paying homage at Shakti Sthal that included warring cousins Rahul as well as Varun. It was incidentally also a day of obituaries – Meira Kumar, Speaker of the House read out a tribute to late Andhra chief minister YSR Reddy as well as other departed leaders. Seen in Parliament was YSR’s son Jaganmohan Reddy had come to the Capital this time to especially attend his father’s condolence and not lobby to step into his shoes.
