Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuk’s first official visit to India after he became King of Bhutan was all about nostalgia for the young king who has spent many significant years studying in Delhi at the Jawaharlal Nehru University. In those days, which are not too far back before he was anointed king, he was one of the most fun loving youngsters Delhi had seen. Jigme was a regular in the party circuit and one only got to know of his “royalty” thanks to the huge security presence around him whenever he went out. What is remarkable is the fact that despite being in the position of power that he was in, Jigme never took it too seriously – most of his close friends were those that looked after his security and the prince had no qualms in letting his hair down along with them. As far as the women were concerned, everyone knew him to be the most chivalrous guy around. It seems he is all set to break many hearts as he has set his eyes upon a certain young Bhutanese girl who has won him over completely. But he isn’t ready to divulge the details yet.
